John Owens: Press
"John Owens displays with his new CD 'Satisfied' a great follow-up to his 'Return' project. Once again John satisfies the ear with pleasant vocals.
On 'Return,' John mixes songs that he has written along with songs by other composers. His powerful voice takes the listener through a time of praise with encouragement in each tune.
Sometimes artists will fall into a trap of trying to get too fancy with their work, but on 'Satisfied,' Owens keeps it pure and simple. Tunes that have become the mainstay of many worship services in the past decade are at the heart of this project. His 'Grace Like Rain' flows with the message of
God's love for us.
Of the artists we play on KAXL Radio, John shines as an artist who who gives our listeners, besides a time of intimacy with God, good quality in his recordings and his talent."

"Catchy chorus[es]...melodies..., good dynamics, and the feel is infectious. Vocal delivery conveys a sense of [being] connected to the material." Engaging lyrics communicate emotion to the listener.

Hello John.... I must say how I came about the CD... I had called in to win tickets or something I can hardly remember now...but I recieved your CD about 3 days later, I didn't win the tickets... I looked at the CD and said nice and put it in my drawer beside my bed..... so about a year later I am putting together all my CDs to go on a mission trip to Arizona, I am a 7/8 grade teacher in Milpitas CA. I remember thinking " the kids might like this, he seems young" But low and behold... we all fell in love with your music and it became one of three regulars on our trip ( it was your CD, a Michael Smith cd, and the multi-artist Messiah cd ) so when I returned home I decided to look and see if you had a website and/or more CDs! I had never heard of you so I was really surprised... happily surprised....
I am waiting eagerly for your next CD Also I used one of your songs in the graduation PowerPoint for the 2005 graduating class. You are touching many hearts here in Milpitas and may God continue to bless your ministry... I hope I have made a friend for life and I look forward to meeting you some day.... God Bless

Hey,
My name is Tammie and I live in Australia. I recieved your CD from my mom as a welcome home present. It was suggested to her by a friend who happened to be in the CD shop at the time. When I first got the CD I didn't expect to like it much, coz I am usually skeptical about new music, but I figured I'd try it, so I played it to my Dad and then had it in the car to get used to it, and guess what? I love it. It is such a good CD. I am rapt to get it. I love Christian music, and would prefer to get it then secular stuff. My fav songs are 'Ain't Nobody', 'Let the Rock', 'Then You Sing' and 'As Long as I Live'. Congrats on a great CD and I look forward to seeing some more of your stuff out. I'm listening to it at the moment. 'Wings of Praise' has just finished. Well done and God Bless.
Love Tammie

Hi John,
We just wanted you to know how much we have enjoyed your CD! It is really
nice. The songs are good--both yours and the other writers. We were really impressed. I write most of Herman's and my music because I seldom hear
anything that really grabs me. There were several on your CD that did that.
Thank you for sharing a copy with us. I'm going to take it over to my sister's so she can hear it. I know her whole family will enjoy it.
The best of luck to you in your medical studies. We appreciate your music and your sweet disposition.
God bless you,
Sonnie & Herman
